We now have an exciting opportunity for Production Operators to strengthen the Etex team! This full-time opportunity is based in Bundaberg, QLD. The plant has experienced unprecedented growth and is now operating on a 24/5 basis, with the successful candidate working a rotating roster.

Siniat is one of the flagship brands of the Etex Group. Etex Australia manufactures and supplies Siniat wall and ceiling solutions to the local market and is the only Australian manufacturer of plasterboard and metal systems to offer a carbon-neutral opt-in program on a wide range of locally made products. The Siniat carbon-neutral opt-in program is certified by Climate Active.

In Australia, our plasterboard and metal framing Siniat products are manufactured in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. We have an expansive national footprint with over 330 teammates across 12 sites.

We are a leading manufacturer of interior and exterior dry construction materials, with a portfolio of over 60 brands across the world, so our knowledge of the construction industry is extensive. 

What we will achieve together:

AsProduction Operator, your primary objective will be to safely operate a range of plant equipment to produce a quality plasterboard product.

CORE DUTIES: 

  1. Safety: is a priority at Etex and you will be responsible for observing safety procedures and rules, ensuring the safety of yourself and your teammates.
  2. Quality: you will observe and adjust production equipment to produce a high-quality plasterboard product.
  3. Improvement: you will identify opportunities for improvement and provide feedback to maintenance and technical teams.

You will also be fully supported by extensive training to enable you to achieve the above.

What you'll bring to the team:

This Production Operator opportunity is open to applicants with a high degree of mechanical aptitude, strong organisational skills, proven problem-solving skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

It is essential that you are committed to ensuring the safety of yourself and other team members and are able and willing to adhere to Safe Work Procedures and standard operating conditions.

You will need to take pride in your work and enjoy working in a self-managed team environment.

The many variables that present themselves when responsible for Plasterboard production mean that you need to be highly adaptable and responsive to changing plans, delivering the best possible outcome for all parties.

Experience with a variety of machinery, including basic maintenance, will help you hit the ground running in your new role.
