Etex Australia Pty Ltd manufactures Siniat products and systems in Australia. Our organisation is a multinational supplier of plasterboard, metal and associated products with over 14,500 teammates across 43 countries and 113 production sites.
We operate a mix of 11 manufacturing, warehousing and retail sites across Australia, including three plasterboard manufacturing facilities, one in Matraville (Sydney, NSW), Altona (Melbourne, VIC), Bundaberg (QLD), and a metal roll forming production facility in Beenleigh (Brisbane, QLD). Your next opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity for up to eight Machine Operators/Packers to join our team in Beenleigh, QLD, on a full-time basis. We have opportunities to join either a day shift or afternoon shift pattern (38hours a week Monday to Friday), and the opportunity to take advantage of lucrative shift loadings.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for operating, adjusting, maintaining and monitoring, equipment and machinery within the factory to ensure the production of a high quality product.
Core duties:
- Carry out pre-start checks on allocated machines
- Accurately and efficiently operate rollformer machinery to meet all required production specifications and outputs within required time frames
- Perform quality control, follow escalation and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
- Work autonomously to fulfill needs of internal and external customers
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and compliance to company code of conduct
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures
You will undergo robust training and have extensive support in achieving the above.

Most importantly, you will have a can-do attitude towards learning new things and advancing in the role, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work and make sound decisions under pressure.
To thrive in this role, you will ideally have a high degree of mechanical aptitude and while previous manufacturing experience will be beneficial it is not essential. Qualifications in fitting or machining will also be advantageous.
It is essential that you are committed to ensuring the safety of yourself and other team members and are able and willing to adhere to Safe Work Procedures and standard operating conditions.
Please note: Due to the physical nature of these roles, it is essential that you perform some manual handling and movements, including lifting, using measuring tools and operating hand tools.
